Responsibilities

1. Inbound Logistics & Receiving

?Manage daily inbound deliveries of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, tools, and equipment.

?Ensure proper receiving, documentation, and ERP posting (SAP preferred).

?Ensure the proper archiving of documents, such as delivery notes, customs invoices and certificates, in accordance with applicable requirements.

?Coordinate with Purchasing on delivery schedules, supplier issues, and urgent shipments.

?Verify compliance of chemical deliveries with SDS, labeling, and hazardous material rules.

2. Warehouse Operations Management

?Set up and manage warehouse layout, storage systems, and material flow processes

?Evaluate the use of machinery and equipment based on economic criteria and identify investment requirements.

?Ensure safe storage conditions for chemicals, sensitive materials, and aerospace components.

?Implement FIFO/FEFO rules, batch traceability, and aerospace grade storage discipline.

?Lead daily warehouse operations: put away, picking, kitting, replenishment, and cycle counts.

3. Inventory Control & Traceability

?Maintain accurate stock levels in ERP and physical inventory.

?Implement inventory control procedures and conduct regular cycle counts taking into account legal requirements and LIN (Liebherr International) specifications.

?Ensure full traceability of chemicals, raw materials, and aerospace parts for audits.

?Prevent stockouts and support production continuity.

4. Internal Logistics & Material Flow

?Define and optimize internal material flow between warehouse, machining, special processes, assembly, and quality.

?Implement Kanban, supermarket, or point of use material delivery systems.

?Coordinate with Production to ensure timely delivery of kits and materials.

?Support lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce handling and improve flow.

?Develop, coordinate and implement an internal transportation concept, including, for example, milk runs and forklifts as well as, where applicable, inbound and outbound stations.

5. Outbound Logistics & Shipping

?Manage outbound shipments of finished parts to customers or other Liebherr sites.

?Ensure correct packaging, labeling, export documentation, and aerospace compliance.

?Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport companies.

?Monitor delivery performance and resolve transport issues.

?To protect products during internal and external transportation, suitable transport equipment must be identified and, where necessary, developed, along with an appropriate management system.

6. Compliance & EHS

?Ensure logistics operations comply with:? Chinese hazardous chemical regulations ? Liebherr EHS standards ? Aerospace traceability and documentation rules

?Maintain SDS library, chemical inventory, and proper storage/transport procedures.

?Support internal and external audits (EHS, quality, procurement, aerospace).

7. Team Leadership & Build Up Phase

?Recruit, train, and lead warehouse and logistics staff.

?Develop SOPs, work instructions, and logistics KPIs.

?Implement safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.

?Support factory ramp up and layout evolution.

8. Cross Functional Coordination

?Work closely with:? Purchasing (delivery issues, urgent needs) ? Production (material flow, kitting) ? Quality (incoming inspection, NCR handling) ? EHS (chemical compliance, storage rules) ? Finance (inventory valuation, stock accuracy)

?Provide logistics data for budgeting and planning.

?Plan investments and budgets, as well as monitor compliance.

Qualifications

?Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

?5–10 years experience in logistics/warehouse management, preferably in manufacturing.

?Experience with chemicals, hazardous materials, or aerospace parts is a strong advantage.

?Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, and material flow.

?Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor LN preferred).

?Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.

?Mandarin required; English required; German is a plus.

?Knowledge of Chinese customs and export processes is an advantage.
