THE ROLE

As an Intern within the Vehicle Integration team, you will work with the design engineering, manufacturing and program teams during development and sustaining phases of the program to ensure compatible designs and product-level attribute optimization (styling, cost, mass, manufacturability, performance, service, NVH, reliability, etc.). You will work with virtual and physical representations of the product in order to validate key decisions and further refine the design prior to releases for tooling and production.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Mechanical design and packaging of vehicle components.

•Execution of virtual (CAD) and physical prototype builds.

•Work with engineering component owners to solve product packaging and attribute problems.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product compatibility with all organizational requirements.

•Tracking and reporting of product compatibility and attribute status.

REQUIREMENTS

•Final year bachelor or master studies in Engineering (Mechanical / Aerospace / Mechatronics / Automotive).

•Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.

•CAD skills. CATIA preferred, SolidWorks minimum.

•Highly motivated, self-starter. Hands on experience with physical car projects is preferred (eg. Formula SAE / Solar Car competitions).
